Don A. Jannicelli, PT, Director

Don A. Jannicelli, PT, Director is the founder and owner of the Bloomfield Institute of Physical and Occupational Therapy. The Bloomfield Institute of Physical and Occupational Therapy was established in 1990 as an outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinic. Mr. Jannicelli is licensed as a physical therapist by the NJ State Board of Physical Therapy. He is affiliated with both the national and state organizations of the American Physical Therapy Association. He is an active member of PTPN of New Jersey, Preferred Therapy Network and Running and Sports Medical Association.

Don is the former Chief of Physical Therapy at Columbus Hospital and the Assistant Chief of Physical Therapy at Crippled Children/United Hospital of Newark. He holds a degree in physical therapy from New York University (NYU) and served his clinical internships at Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation, Robert Wood Medical Center/JFK Hospital and Hackensack Medical Center. Don also holds a certificate as a certified personal trainer from NASM of California. Mr. Jannicelli has also been awarded as a Who's Who in the Medical Field.

 

Carissa L. Jannicelli, MS, OTR/L
The occupational therapists in NJ Institute of Physical Therapy, Don A. Jannicelli (PT) and Carissa L. Jannicelli (MS, OTR/L), are both highly credentialed and fully licensed in the area of physical and occupational therapy. Their goal is to return each all their New Jersey patients to an active, independent life are restoring strength, relieving pain, and helping their patients regain functional activities.

Carissa L. Jannicelli, MS, OTR/L is the Director of Occupational Therapy at the Bloomfield Institute of Physical and Occupational Therapy. Carissa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science and a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Russell Sage College. Ms. Jannicelli is registered and certified by the National Board of Occupational Therapy. She holds licenses to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York. Carissa has a specialist certification from the Ayres Clinic in California in Sensory Integration. Ms. Jannicelli also is certified in The Listening Program as well as an authorized provider of The Listening Program. Miss Jannicelli completed her clinical affiliations at Kessler West Orange, Kessler East Orange, The Children's Therapy Center in Fairlawn and also at the Montclair State Demonstration Program for Children. Carissa is also a Certified Pilates Instructor (CPI) by the Professional Health & Fitness Institute as well as a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in California.
