OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS

PEDIATRIC THERAPY:
Pediatric Occupational Therapist professionals evaluate, treat and work with children on a variety of special needs and diagnoses. These specialized therapists help children maximize functional and age-appropriate skills through the use of therapeutic play, exercise, and adaptation of the environment.
Occupational Therapy address arm strengthening, eye-hand coordination and sensory integration. Physical Therapy address trunk and lower body strengthening to improve gross motor skills, including climbing, walking and running.

HAND THERAPY:
Occupational Therapy ("OT") Therapists work closely with healthcare providers and families to ensure world-class care in upper extremity and hand rehabilitation. Our goal in treatment is to return NJ patients back to optimal function in their daily lives of working, leisure and self-care. Our team approach assists the patient in understanding pathology. Exercise programs are aimed at improving strength, endurance and function. A variety of modalities are used to decrease pain and promote joint motion. Diagnoses often seen in the clinic include fractures, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, tennis elbow, thumb arthritis, wrist tendonitis, flexor and extensor tendon injuries.
